Tri-State Soybean Forum set for Jan. 9 in Oak Grove, La.

OAK GROVE, La. – The 59th annual Tri-State Soybean Forum has been scheduled for Jan. 9, 2015, at the Thomas Jason Lingo Center in Oak Grove.

A cooperative program of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi universities, the annual forum rotates among the three states.

“This year we are happy to once again host the forum in West Carroll Parish,” said LSU AgCenter agent Bruce Garner. “The Thomas Jason Lingo Center offers a great facility and location for the producers from all three states.”

The program will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and continue with presentations on insects by Jeff Gore of Mississippi State University, weed resistance by Bob Scott of the University of Arkansas, and high-yield economics by Bob Stark and Nathan Slaton of the University of Arkansas.

Other presentations will include fungicide and disease issues by Clayton Hollier of the LSU AgCenter and irrigation practices by Jason Krutz of Mississippi State University.

The program will conclude with lunch.

The Thomas Jason Lingo Center is located at 195A Community Road off la. Highway 17 in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
