Calibrachoa – Ornamental Plant of the Week for March 9, 2015

Calibrachoas are great plants for adding to the late winter, early spring landscape. And they last through early summer. You can expect short-term performance of 4-6 months.

Known by some gardeners as “mini petunias” or “million bells,” the plant form is smaller than petunias – more compact growth with finer-, smaller-textured foliage and smaller flowers.

Calibrachoas prefer mostly sun and dry conditions and do best in containers. They come in solid and bicolored flower forms.

More growing information and details are available on this edition of Get It Growing with Dan Gill: http://www.lsuagcenter.com/news_archive/2013/march/get_it_growing/calibrachoa-are-hardy-petunia-lookalikes.htm
