Louisiana cattle producers face challenges

Louisiana cattle producers have the advantage of being able to produce high-quality forages year-round. Moderate winter temperatures that allow ryegrass to thrive give way to hot, humid spring and summer conditions that make raising beef in Louisiana difficult. A team of LSU AgCenter agents and researchers is working together to help cattle producers succeed.
