Marketing seafood topic of March 1 workshop in Delcambre

DELCAMBRE, La. – A free workshop sponsored by the LSU AgCenter to help seafood producers get their products to market and to comply with regulations will be March 1 at the Shrimp Festival Building.

From 10 a.m. until noon, the class will be given in Vietnamese, and the English class will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. A lunch will be served from noon until 1 p.m.

Topics will include labor training for commercial fishers, how to find workers, labor challenges, communication for direct marketing and quality issues for the seafood industry.

A drawing for $100 in free fuel will be held. To win, registrants must have a valid Louisiana commercial fishing license and photo identification.
