Weather early in March had the state's corn farmers worried they wouldn’t get their crops in the ground during the optimal planting time. Pecan field day set for May 20 in Shreveport

4-H golf tournament benefits state’s youth
(Distributed 04/28/10) The 13th annual Louisiana 4-H Foundation Golf Tournament presented by Cameron Communications was held at Gray Plantation in Lake Charles April 8. Twenty-eight teams from across the state participated in the event benefiting the Louisiana 4-H program. Proceeds support youth across the state through summer camps, educational trips and scholarships.
