LSU AgCenter research helps farmers fight weeds



Weeds
Keeping soybean fields weed-free early in the growing season is important for maximizing yields. Daniel Stephenson, an LSU AgCenter weed scientist, encouraged farmers to use pre-emergence herbicides on their fields to keep weeds from coming up. He said farmers had moved away from these herbicides and used only the herbicide glyphosate, which some weeds have developed resistance to.
