Rural Life Apprentice Program Date: 6/4/2018-6/8/2018Time: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PMLocation: Museum GroundsMany children from grades 4th through 8th will become 'apprentices' for this week long educational experience. Skilled Louisiana artisans along with the museum's Junior Docents will introduce children to 19th century traditional crafts such as blacksmithing, open-hearth cooking, tintype photography and making blueprints, early textiles processes, to everyday domestic skills and more. Each day, the apprentices will be able to participate, create and bring home what they personally made. By the end of the week, smiles are guaranteed on all the young apprentices as well as our own. The Louisiana artisans and the Rural Life Museum staff are looking forward to another successful Apprentice Program. Register early!
