BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will welcome the fall season with a Corn Maze Festival on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day will feature a farm animal petting zoo, pumpkin painting, hay mountain climb, corn maze, hayride and a giant slingshot. Admission is $10 per person, including concession tickets; children 3 and under admitted free. Pumpkins for painting will be on sale for $5.
“What better way for families to end the summer than with a trip to the farm during harvest season,” said Jeff Kuehny, director of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.
Later weekends will offer opportunities to attend Corn Maze Saturdays on Oct. 10, 17 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities will include a hay mountain climb, corn maze, hayride and a giant slingshot. Admission is $7 per person; children 3 and under admitted free.
The corn maze program will culminate with a Night Maze and Bonfire on Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family-oriented event maze will provide fun times for children of all ages to spend Halloween night. Visitors are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes.

All corn maze events will have corn dogs, popcorn and drinks for purchase from Burden Horticulture Society volunteers.
Sponsored by the LSU AgCenter and the Burden Horticulture Society, proceeds from the corn maze event supports the educational programs at the Botanic Gardens.
