Kids can make gingerbread houses at Burden

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will welcome children to decorate their own gingerbread houses during What’s Cooking at Burden on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The morning’s activities will feature instruction from chefs Kevin Foil and Jeanne Mancuso from Culinard Culinary Institute of Virginia College.

“Kids will enjoy getting ready for Santa by making their own gingerbread houses,” said Jeff Kuehny, director of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.

Admission is $10 per child and includes all materials. Participation is limited to 30 children, so registration is required by calling 225-763-3990.
