BATON ROUGE, La. – Professionals in the plant materials industry are invited to the Louisiana Plant Materials Conference at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden on Dec. 8.
The meeting will begin with registration at 8 a.m. with a variety of industry professionals discussing timely topics for those involved in the landscape industry.
AgCenter horticulturist Allen Owings, resident coordinator at the AgCenter Hammond Research Station, said topics on the program include plants with potential, Zoysiagrass, new plants from PDSI and Ball Seed companies, the latest flower trends in Baton Rouge commercial landscapes and dogwoods.
“AgCenter horticulturist Dan Gill will also be on the program discussing the AgCenter Super Plants for 2016,” Owings said.
Admission to the conference is $35, which includes lunch, and Louisiana Landscape Architects can earn up to four CEUs for attending.
“Seating is limited to the first 70 registrants by Nov. 27,” he said. “The meeting will adjourn at 2 p.m.”
The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden is located at 4560 Essen Lane, just off Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge.
