Crop production field day set for June 17 in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, La. – The LSU AgCenter Northeast Research Station in St. Joseph will host a crop production and pest management field day on June 17.

Registration and refreshments will begin at 8:30 a.m., with field tours following at 9 a.m.

Resident coordinator Donnie Miller said topics will include: insect pest management, disease management, irrigation and water management, weed management, new herbicide technology, cover crops and enhanced efficiency nitrogen fertilizers

Speakers will include AgCenter research and extension personnel. In addition, AgCenter administrators will provide updates on programs of interest to producers, consultants and agribusinesses in northeast Louisiana. Lunch will be provided.
