BATON ROUGE, La. – Beauregard Parish Master Gardeners will hold a spring garden festival and plant sale at the Beauregard Parish Fairground Exhibit Hall and Demonstration Garden from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m on March 1.

LSU AgCenter horticulture agent Keith Hawkins said this is the first of what he hopes will become an annual event.

“This gardening event will feature a broad array of topics, including beneficial insects, soil conditioners, children and gardening, vegetables, Landscaping 101, container gardening, The World of Worms and composting,” Hawkins said.

In addition to the speakers, there also will be a plant sale and booths, a silent auction, door prizes and concessions.

The Beauregard Parish Fairground Exhibit Hall and Demonstration Garden is located at 506 West St. in DeRidder.
