SHREVEPORT, La., – The LSU AgCenter will hold its 30th Annual ARK-LA-TEX forestry forum on March 6 at the Holiday Inn Financial Plaza in Shreveport.

Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m., and the program starts at 8:45 a.m. Lunch is included, and the forum ends at 3:30 p.m., according to LSU AgCenter area forestry agent Ricky Kilpatrick.

The fee is $20 per person if participants pre-register by March 3 and $25 per person after that date.

Kilpatrick said checks should be payable to ARK-LA-TEX Forestry Forum, and mailed to P.O. Box 370 Benton, LA 71006.

Topics to be covered include options for undivided landowners, compelling legal access, forestry issues, marketing timber, and enhancing wildlife with roads and logsets.

Kilpatrick said there will be a five-member severance tax panel and a special presentation of the 2013 Project Learning Tree Outstanding Educator Award.

The Holiday Inn Financial Plaza is located at 5555 Financial Plaza in Shreveport.
