News Release Distributed 09/28/11

The LSU AgCenter’s Burden Research Center in Baton Rouge and the Burden Horticulture Society will sponsor their corn maze each Saturday through October, according to Jeff Kuehny, resident director at Burden.

“We wanted to have an activity where the whole family can come out and have a good time,” Kuehny said. “We’ll have the big hay mountain for the kids to climb and the balloon slingshot.”

The event will open each Saturday from 4-7 p.m. Admission is $5, and children under five enter free.

On Oct. 29, the corn maze will feature a bonfire and weenie roast from 4-9 p.m. Admission to this event is $10.

The Burden Research Center is located at 4560 Essen Lane just off interstate 10 in Baton Rouge. For further information contact the Jeff Kuehny at 225-763-3990.
