Louisiana 4-H Foundation joins online shopping mall

News Release Distributed 10/04/11

The Louisiana 4-H Foundation has joined an online shopping mall hosted and sponsored by nonprofit organizations for the purpose of raising funds.

The business, Louisiana Community Marketplace, is affiliated with several online stores.

“When you make a purchase at any of the online stores featured on LCM, the online store pays Louisiana 4-H a commission for referring you to the store,” said Louisiana 4-H Foundation Executive Director Eric Eskew. “It is important that you access the LCM through our 4-H specific website.”

Every store in the online mall is verified to be a trusted site, and all transactions take place over a secure connection, Eskew said. “Prices of products are no higher than what you would pay if you bought directly through the particular online store.”

Among the nearly 100 stores are Sears, Target, Kmart, Amazon, Office Max, Circuit City and Expedia.

The direct link is www.louisianacommunitymarketplace.com/la4h.
