Soybean forum set for Jan. 6 in Oak Grove, La.

OAK GROVE, La. – Producers from Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi will have an opportunity to hear the latest in soybean research during the 2012 Tri-State Soybean Forum on Friday, Jan. 6, at 8 a.m. at the Thomas Jason Lingo Center in Oak Grove.

The meeting will feature a variety of production presentations by experts from the LSU AgCenter, University of Arkansas, Mississippi State University and the U.S. Geological Survey.

Topics include current situations and market outlooks for the soybean industry, glyphosate weed resistance updates and resistant-weed control options, an update on Mid-South Soybean Board projects, saltwater in the Mississippi River Aquifer, late-season soybean diseases and soybean response to heat and drought stress.

Also included in this educational meeting will be an update from the United Soybean Board.
