Garden symposium set for March 26 in Natchitoches

The Natchitoches Parish Master Gardeners will present their fifth annual garden symposium on March 26 at the Natchitoches Events Center.

The theme of this year's event is "Hats off to Gardening."

Featured speakers will include LSU AgCenter horticulturist Allen Owings, Mississippi State University Extension Service consumer horticulture specialist Lelia Scott Kelly and Nancy Bartlett, a self-taught, cut-flower grower who raises flowers on her 26-acre farm in Folsom for sale to farmers markets, restaurants and private events.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event will include morning refreshments, lunch, a silent auction, book and plant sales, and gardening-related vendors.

Seating is limited to 200. Admission is $30 with no ticket sales at the door. Pre-registration is required.
