Rice varieties crossing with weeds

(Radio News 04/11/11) Clearfield varieties make up about 70 percent of the rice acreage in Louisiana. These varieties allow growers to control the red rice weed with the herbicide Newpath, but LSU AgCenter rice specialist Johnny Saichuk says growers are starting to see problems with some of these varieties.
