The Burden Horticulture Society announces a call for entries to its first juried art exhibition. The theme for the show is “A Brush with Burden,” according to Judy Weaver, with the Burden Horticulture Society.
Entries must depict an area within the LSU AgCenter’s 440-acre Burden Center located on Essen Lane at I-10 in Baton Rouge. The work may include anything on the grounds, including buildings, plants and animals in Burden Center, which includes the Windrush Gardens.
The entry deadline is December 1, 2010.
Ribbons will be awarded for Best In Show, Judge’s Award, Honorable Mention and People’s Choice.
Winning works will be displayed at the Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge following the close of the exhibition on February 6, 2011.
