Students plant trees on damaged wetlands

(Radio News 05/10/10) Before visiting Fort Pike State Historic Site in New Orleans, Luling Elementary fourth-grader Tarah Boudoin had never heard of a dibble -- a tool used to plant trees. But by the time the group finished planting 200 baldcypress trees, she was well acquainted with the instrument. She also was acquainted with the important role trees play in our environment.
