Description: (Radio News 03/01/10) A quick glance around the show barn and you realize this isn’t your great-grandfather’s livestock show. Sure, the sounds are the same, and so are the smells, but when the participants aren’t showing, many are playing games on their smart phones or listening to their music players. A lot has changed since the LSU AgCenter livestock show started in 1936, but youngsters still learn important traits like responsibility, sportsmanship and even patience.
