Credit Card Act designed to help consumers

(Radio News 03/22/10) The Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure or CARD Act of 2009 is intended to protect consumers from abusive fees, penalties and interest rate increases. Most provisions of the act went into effect in February. LSU AgCenter family economist Dr. Jeanette Tucker says it will make credit card companies communicate better with consumers.
