Corn crop has more diseases than normal

Description:
(Radio News 07/05/10) An LSU AgCenter plant pathologist told participants at a field day at the AgCenter’s Red River Research Station that this is the worst year for corn disease he has seen. While diseases such as common rust and northern leaf blight have been a problem in some fields, Dr. Boyd Padgett isn’t recommending blanket fungicide applications for all fields.
