BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter LaHouse Home and Landscape Resource Center will host a fall open house on Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The open house will highlight ways to improve indoor air quality and design safe, functional homes. Experts will be on hand to answer questions, and visitors can also explore exhibits and publications.
“Visitors can see examples of features that reduce common health hazards in the home, such as carbon monoxide, and asthma and allergy triggers,” said AgCenter extension housing specialist Claudette Reichel. “They can also discover how to create a convenient home for all ages and stages of life with safe, functional, accessible and adaptable home design and furnishings.”
LaHouse is also open for self-guided tours Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
LaHouse is located off Nicholson Drive at 2858 Gourrier Ave. across from Alex Box Baseball Stadium in Baton Rouge. A donation of $5 per adult is requested to help support educational programming and exhibits.
