AgCenter grower forum set for Feb. 3 in Delhi

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter will hold a crop production forum for northeast Louisiana farmers on Feb. 3 in Delhi.

The event, to be held at the Delhi Civic Center, will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and end at noon.

Topics to be covered include cost-effective production strategies for soybeans and corn, including weed, insect and disease control and fertility. Other presentations will include pesticide drift control and marketing tools and strategies as well as information on Natural Resources Conservation Service programs.

The forum is approved for private applicator recertification, and individuals must attend the entire meeting to get certified, said Keith Collins, AgCenter agent in Richland Parish.

The Delhi Civic Center is located at 232 Denver St., Delhi, La.
