AgCenter has flood recovery information available

News Release Distributed 05/30/14

BATON ROUGE, La. – Recent rains have caused flooding in many areas of Louisiana. To help people with flood recovery, the LSU AgCenter has numerous fact sheets available online or in hard copy form at local parish extension offices.

Topics covered include what to do when water gets into your house, salvaging your belongings, saving the landscape, and staying healthy.

There are also materials on what to do with livestock, water well restoration, debris removal and disposal, and mildew prevention.

The materials include a comprehensive 32-page publication, “The Storm Recovery Guide.”

Go to www.LSUAgCenter.com and search for flood recovery information. The site also includes a listing of all the parish extension offices, their locations and contact information.
