LSU AgCenter Dairy Store extends hours

News Release Distributed 09/15/14

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter Dairy Store is now open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.

Gary Hay, director of the School of Animal Sciences, said the store extended its hours to better serve its customers.

“We’ve had a lot more business since the semester started, so the store is staying open later to accommodate students and their schedules,” he said.

Hay said the change in hours is also beneficial for off-campus customers because they can now come to the store after 4:30 p.m., when gates restricting roads into campus open.

The Dairy Store is located at the corner of South Stadium Drive and Tower Drive on LSU’s campus. It serves 16 flavors of ice cream made with milk from cows at the AgCenter’s Southeast Research Station in Franklinton. Other items including cheese, meats and coffee are also available.
