BATON ROUGE, La. – Gina E. Eubanks, an administrator with the LSU AgCenter and the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, received the Leadership Award at the Booker T. Washington Economic Summit at Tuskegee University, in Alabama.
Eubanks is associate vice chancellor and program leader for nutrition and food sciences in the LSU AgCenter and vice chancellor for extension in the Southern University Ag Center.
During her 25 years with Southern University along with her recent appointment in the LSU AgCenter, Eubanks has developed a model for successful collaborations among institutions, agencies and states.
She was cited for her work that highlights and promotes strategic directions and educational programs to meet the needs of Cooperative Extension clientele throughout Louisiana.
Eubanks has served as the SU representative to the Louisiana Agricultural Mediation Program, a joint program sponsored by the SU Law Center and SU Ag Center.
She was nominated for the award by Walter A. Hill, provost and dean of the College of Agriculture, Environment & Nutrition Sciences at Tuskegee.
The Booker T. Washington Summit is a part of the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension program in community resources and economic development. It focuses on community resources and leadership development, business and entrepreneurial development, and individual and family financial management.
