Wheat, oat field day set for April 16 at Macon Ridge Research Station

WINNSBORO, La. – LSU AgCenter experts will conduct a wheat and oat field day on April 16 at the Macon Ridge Research Station just south of Winnsboro, La.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The program will include a crop update and presentations on wheat waterlogging tolerance and wheat molecular studies.

A field tour will include presentations on fusarium head scab genotype screening; wheat breeding, Sungrains and seed increases; fungicide trials and disease control; wheat variety trials; and Hessian fly and aphid control.
