Story Time at Burden on April 13 focuses on gardening

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter and Junior League of Baton Rouge will offer the last of the Story Time at Burden series on April 13 at the Steele Burden Orangerie.

Storybook readings will begin at 9 a.m. with the last reading beginning at 10:30 a.m. WAFB’s Diane Deaton will be the celebrity storyteller sharing the book, “Inch By Inch: The Garden Song.

Children will be able to take part in a gardening-themed craft project and receive a book. They also can visit the Children’s Garden at Burden.

Children 3 to 8 are invited to participate and must be accompanied by an adult.

The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners’ Spring Plant Sale will be held the same day at Burden. Families attending Story Time should park between the conference center and the Orangerie.

Story Time at Burden is free and refreshments will be available.
