Beef field day set for May 5 in Jeanerette

JEANERETTE, La. – The LSU AgCenter Iberia Research Station will hold a field day for beef cattle producers on May 5.

Topics will include market implications for the value of stocker cattle and forage, economic evaluation of forage systems at the station, grazing management, the use of different forages in year-round grazing systems, a producer’s perspective on growing forage and graduation of the Master Cattle Producer 2011 class.

The event will begin at 8 a.m., and lunch will be provided. The station is located at 603 LSU Bridge Road, Jeanerette.

The event is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter, the Louisiana Cattlemen’s Association and the Louisiana Forage and Grassland Council.
